From dollar rises and drops, war/s and global economics. Gold, like all commodities are cyclic, they are not predictable but many run on 3-7 year cycles of rises and falls.
What builds, confidence in a newly listing gold stock as an example. Is the team, as a whole from senior management to the board. if they are a team, with proven results under the helm of othering companies previously.
Then this gives confidence and the respect, that over many years of what is never easy. A proven and reordered, history of performance.
lets say, a gold company has a prefeasibility proven base resource in the range of two million ounces. They would have, around 600-800 for a MC. Before, construction and then to the first gold bar has even been poured. The site drilling campaign, was already occurring pre start and then once operational. Some, can grow the resources through further drilling. Some, through the purchase of other mining leases or company acquisition.
Either way, they will be prudent in choices. To grow and deliver, shareholder value/s/return/s etc.
Like many, good companies whom perform well. The management and board, have worked long and hard for and achieved results. That show investors, you can trust them and know. That they, have the required skills to achieve an positive outcome.

The issue here, is they are getting richer and growing by working investors and the share price a the same time.
Look at the Goong's share shuffle, no report was ever provided. As a, major shareholder movement until after the 28 million had been moved.
On this forum, people have claimed that the Goong's are just angry and disgruntled ex directors. if you had any shares at 28 million in quantity selling them at fifty cents as an example would = 14 million dollars. Versus 3.22 million dollars at yesterdays closing price. if you were Pssd off, you would sell out at the max and not run it down and loose out massively.
As, I have said previously. between all of them. Extremely large, levels of performance shares continually provided for each. Along with cash bonuses and high levels salaries etc.
So many answers are required, on all levels with this company.
It could, be view now that none of them are loosing financially overall. Yes, on the share price at present. But seeing, 5.3 millions dollars handed to just four management team members this year alone. shows, that they must have a game plan underway at present.
Burden the company, with failures and debts whilst manipulating the share price down over what is now years.
So they can ultimately, get the company cheap as a buy out.
They should be, simply ashamed of themselves. The only issue, with saying that. Is they, are not and will not be due to a behavioural trait/type called "narcissistic".
