I should add. I used to work in a dealing room (not in equities) and was paid well to have an opinion. I had to "have" an opinion because I was paid to have one. Truth was...deep down I had no idea what the market woudl do. Our customers wanted to know what I thought so I had to say something. It was the same old bs that everyone else in the market was saying.
I quit in the end because it was deeply dissatisfying to tell others stuff you didnt really believe in
