Sorry wot but this is getting a bit repetitive but have no idea what you are trying to say. Who is "them" doing the closing? Closing what? If you are implying SS closing their shorts, you are barking up the wrong tree again.
SS reported a net long position of 5% and as of a few weeks ago, was sitting on just under 5% net LONG. Why would they need to close anything?
Anyway, I can see this going round and round for an eternity, so how about let's just wait and see if Hancock shows up as a substantial anytime within the next month? If they do, then it is possible that Hancock may have bought their shares from SS, OR they could also have bought it on market, or any other funds, or large shareholders.
