    I lived in Darwin for 5 years, been all over the top end. I've travelled to many of the pastoral companies, mines and communities when I was there with work.

    You actually stated that "even the greenies support it" and then posted a link to the NT Environment Centre. The environment centre is pro renewable hydrogen not blue or fossil fuel hydrogen. Blue hydrogen is by default not renewable because it is from non-renewable sources i.e. coal or gas.

    A quote directly from the source you posted says "Some proponents of the hydrogen export industry see it as a way of extending the future market for Australia’s fossil fuels. This ignores the fact that Japan and South Korea want zero-carbon hydrogen as part of their decarbonisation strategies. If they had long-term interest in hydrogen from fossil fuels, they could make it themselves from gas they already import."

    So those greenies you refer to are pro RENEWABLE Hydrogen and aren't supportive of fossil fuel based hydrogen.
