A brokers job is to act as an intermediary between buyers and sellers and they make money buy generating flow and transacting. All the broker data will tell you is that X brokers clients are buying or selling. The smallest of shareholders will be clients of such brokers. It amazes me people put so much time and effort into worrying about this. Just because a broker has a buy recommendation, doesn't mean their clients have to follow it also.

If a bank/ broker also has a separate investment arm under the same name, it is unlikely that they would do all their trading through their own broking arm as well.

I believe Euroz took a position in their managed fund, specifically in their Westoz fund management arm.

I do not believe they're acting as brokers in this instance, but investors.
