OK.. I did what every investor should do (I rarely do it, so I am equally bad)...
I did two things:
1. Emailed MTL Consulting in Tanzania who are our RAP guys and asked them about the progress... received two emails from them stating that they are bound with confidentiality clauses and cannot reveal any customer details... very happy to NOT receive any info directly from them... the point to contact them was to see if there was a chance someone from their end could inform any inquirer with such critical info... for once, I was happy to NOT receive the required info... this tells me that someone else will find it difficult to gather this info easily... hence, in a way, this "selling" could not be based on any RAP info from the horses mouth (some may say that someone with more perseverance and clout could get this info - I say, that person would probably know it already... I am talking of punters like me, not bigshots)...
2. Called up Euroz and asked about the 55c speculative BUY target and the current 16.5c sp and the "selling" by Euroz since the last few weeks... the answer I got was that Euroz still maintains that BUY rating and the selling is their customers who are "frustrated" with the delays... I tried to probe with "any news that could have spooked their customers?"... the answer was "no, this is pretty stock standard for customers to move out even at a loss if the 'target' is not reached nor seems plausible in the near term"... I feel this is restless money that needs ASSURED returns... with KNL not playing ball, they have probably informed Euroz to cut their losses and move out...
Again, I take this talks with Euroz at face value only... I am sure if they are vacating the building in full scale, I am the last person they are going to tell... yet, I just have to believe in this discussion I had... we discussed KNL FA and he agreed that all the boxes ticked so far (all the things we have discussed 100s of times here re offtake, finance, battery yada yada yada) were pretty solid and nothing seemed amiss to him too... he had no explanation for the sell off...
make what you want of these two efforts of mine... nothing "insider" was unearthed in this 15 minutes of work done... probably KNL is doomed but I cannot see it.. or KNL is the next BHP type investment, I do not know... I believe, hence I am anchored here...
