Thanks for explaining that, orido. If the broker technically own the shares, I wonder what would happen if their business went bust. I presume you would probably lose your investment???
Thanks for your original question, frankenfurter. It is an interesting topic, and like you I have been using commsec for years. I have found them very satisfactory but, as you say, the fees are high compared to what is available.
