The video Ref needs to be given more leeway to overturn the on field ref's decisions. This a prime example of why video ref's are needed in the modern game. Relics like Gus Gould and co who get off on mistakes like that incident so they can have a rant and then whinge when the video ref's input is used aren't doing the game any favours. There's too much to referee in the modern game and too much scrutiny when errors are made. The onfield ref/video ref /bunker is the only way forward, and Gus and co should shut up and endorse it.
