Wonganella, the political garrotting of Bronwyn Bishop may well prompt the sequel to 'Road to Ruin: How Tony Abbott and Peta Credlin wrecked their own government'.

IMO it's an addition to the list below of some of what voters are being confronted with on a daily basis:
. Lack of attention to the proper role of government - who's at the tiller?
. The threat by Moody's to cut Australia's AAA rating due to our deteriorating economic KPIs such as private debt levels and of course revelations in the Panama Papers about our lax corporate regulatory regime.
. Kite flying - 50% GST increase, slash spending, dumping of public education, States to levy their own income tax, ...
. On the hustings every day with Malcolm Turnbull and Scott Morrison telling us that we'll have to wait for the Budget to find out what they're doing, even as they deliver differing messages and differing passions re specific options.
. Re-stoking of Abbott's war against workers with the ABCC etc.
. The Pope's decision to publicly contradict and shame nations turning their backs on asylum seekers.
. The constant regurgitation of the prospect of a double dissolution election on July 2nd.
. What Heath Aston referred to as the garrotting of Bronnie and the alleged role played by Abbott's henchmen.
. The rat pack of tyrannosaurs barking in the political wilderness - Abetz, Abbott, Andrews, Bernadi, ...
. The elevation of AFL to be our national sport of choice for promotion in China.
. Taunting the Chinese with RAAF flights over islands in the Sth China Sea they're claiming as their territory.
. Our DPM is now Barnaby Joyce with Johnny Depp returning to face life imprisonment for illegally importing ravenous, rabid, dogs into QueensLand.
. Unprecedented coral bleaching on the GBR accompanied by record high average recorded temperatures apparently ignored to allow approval for what will become the World's largest coal mine - exporting coal via the GBR.

IMO Turnbull needs to start cutting his losses: running a sword through Abbott's record instead of ingenuously praising him, refusing to kowtow any longer to the consortium of right wing think tanks and business interest aligned with Abbott, getting on with Aboriginal Reconciliation, calling for a conscience vote in Parliament on SSM and thereby ditching that unethical plebiscite, fully committing to properly addressing the tax avoidance sector, apologising for backing the drug-inept AFL.
