While I abhor some of the Welfare sorts, I, nevertheless, appreciate & use some of the socialised services such as: -medicare -public hospitals -Primary & Secondary education -legal/judicial staten -protction services such as police, Armed Forces & border Control -Covid health programs -Covid economic support programs such as Jobkeeper/Jobseeker (This has been the biggest Socialist/Social support in AUD in history over an 18 month duration.
The welfare programs are merely a part of the entire "Socialist/Social support systems and of course you and others are free to criticise it but not reject it because it has been devised according to our Democratic Principles & processes which trump everything else, IMO.
EG: You can't reject/ignore the lawful direction of police , Courts, health Officials etc, all Social Services and unlike the USA we dont have a Bill of Rights to appeal to if everything goes pear shaped !.
