What a clever play by Brookfield and Mr Cannon Brookes.
This company has fallen from the sky over the last few years , and a bid at this price will not be succesful in my view.
my reference to the smart of the play is it could act as a cap to a bid price that may be acceptable to shareholders in the future.
Typically one would of thought a bid closer to a 30% odd premium , say around $10.00 normally would of been needed to succed in this type of approach.
A price of $7.50 places a lot of pressure on the board to be compelling in defending it.
