you've come in very late in the piece. I am MOST INTERESTED in the risks to UMC. I have a lot of money invested in it, and so the risks are my main concern.
Main risks that I researched a while ago:
1. Drilling does not find a large resource 2. Resource not economic to mine 3. No transport available 4. Management not achieving goals/targets 5. Management come out of negotiations with a poor deal 6. Cost overruns, delays. 7. IO prices fall
Before putting any money into a stock (whether it is a trade or investment), I look foremost at the risks. It is the risk assessment that decides how much I buy.
Too many punters focus solely on the reward, then go looking for someone to blame when it doesn't work out for them. Blame does not make money. Taking responsibility does.
