Not sure what the main problem was perhaps debt levels are an issue , Regardless of how lucrative your enterprise is if it is dealt a blow as long and damaging as this bastard of a drought then we are not superman. I sold that last of my wagyu cows a few weeks ago the oldest are now hamburgers somewhere the young I sold to a breeder with grass with an option to buy back the heifer calves later on . We are all well past plan B looking at plans C D E F....sorry to hear of this blokes fate ,many like him yet to come.

Many Waygu people are looking at feedlotting old cows and getting quite good marbling scores. China is very interested in this product as well. Doesn't help much when feedlots are full and many on the Downs are running out of water.
