I remain wary re a housing price dive but suspect/expect banks are also concerned and lending criteria are tight. I did read re parents becoming 'guarantor' for their child's homeloan... scary stuff but good for banks.
My forecast is that should we get more rate cuts only about half will be passed onto customers. The govt and RBA will make a muted protest but they are far more concerned re viability of our banking system than whether Johnny in Cambelltown or Danh in Cabrematta gets screwed.
