Col, poor quality low rank coal may have a very limited future in conventional power generation, however high quality low ash low sulfur LV brown coal should still have a big future with newer gasification, coal to liquids etc... tech's.

The global groundswell of genuine renewables plus a switch to HELE coal technologies using only highest quality coals should actually be a positive for our LV plans IMO.

In order to secure funding and technological assistance countries with poor quality resources will need to import high quality Aus coal IMO due to new restrictions placed by the big funders.
