as jdvictoria said that is criminal activity and would be blatant insider trading, I know these things can be covered up in various ways but sometimes the simplest explanation is the best one: RAU talked it up too much before the deal was signed, they couldn't pay the asking price, the vendor says no thanks.
I think there is a lot of denial going on at the moment in the RAU threads.
