Often a lot gets said in these short interviews, and it is a lot easier to comprehend it all when reading it. So here it is...

    Jamie (BRR):
Hello and welcome to boardroom radio. Today we are joined by Mr Mark Smyth, CEO of CitvView. Mark, welcome back to boardroom radio.

    MS:
    Thank you Jamie.

    Jamie:
What is the significance of your two announcements made today?

    MS:
Jamie, the significance of the announcements is that it clears the decks for CityView to complete its acquisition of the Matanda oil condensate field in Cameroon, and also to get the Kwanza basin oil permit over the line.

For a long time, as you know, CityView has been a little battler punching above it’s weight. (CityView) now has approximately $15m in the bank and has the capacity to bring home the bacon.

    Jamie:
Mark I see that through Fortitude, you are gaining control of 15,000 sq km of mineralised areas. How did Fortitude manage to put together such a huge area?

    MS:
Fortitude is owned by a number of very powerful Angolan groups. After months of argument, they’ve finally agreed to put all their projects in to one pot, and for CityView to manage the pot. This is actually a great honour for us.

I don’t think people realise the significance of what is happening. These are not just leases, this is a whole copper province. And that’s why the chairman Ian Egan is willing to put his name to it.

    Jamie:
Mark what can you tell us about Fortitude’s program for 2008?

    MS:
They have a very clear plan which will lift the value of Fortitude to several hundred million dollars in 12 months.

First of all, they plan to secure all the legal titles in to bankable format.

Secondly, carry out the Longonjo exploratory drilling and establish a resource.

And finally, most important of all, do the JORC standard drilling at Cachoeiras, which will take the existing resource to a level where production can commence.

    Jamie:
Mark that’s some very positive news, sounds like 2008 is going to be a massive year for CityView. We look forward to hearing more on boardroom radio.

    MS:
    Thank you Jamie.
