reminds me of the howard govt boasting things like $5 bill extra put into the health system, but failing to mention that costs have blown out by $10 bill etc, as a rough example
don't worry - i know the states have largely been woeful, but don't think for a moment that the howard tenure hasn't been an influence - that little vindictive rodent does everything in his power to keep the opposition under the thumb - i mean, the real purse strings are essentially at fed level
as for surplusses for rainy days - yes, it appeared to rain leading up to every election under howard - blah, who needs infrastructure? - maybe i should run for election, as i can 'sit' on money too - and don't be one of those galahs who tries to tell me that taxpayers should get some back - if so, why tax them so much in the first place if that is all the govt has to offer
