Yes, if BPL can eventually work in Australia, it would be a very good outcome for the country because just about every home has electric power lines connected. Imagine if everyone can have real fast speed broadband from the power company!
Hence, savings on capital expenditure to avoid laying so much new and expensive fibre optic cables (was it $4 billion?)
Also, the speed of 8 million bps on BPL! Faster than television.
I am hoping it will work and would try it, if available. For that speed, I would be willing to pay extra than for the 512 kps cable that I am using now.
