Have you been to the TFS site recently and checked out the yield results there? I see it's from 2004 and 2008 sampling, and of non TFC 14yo trees, but what makes you so sure, no news is bad news, at least that's how I interpret your comments re yield.
If TFC have been removing trees, which you say we know they have, then I don't see how they can be fully mature TFC trees. Ipso facto the yield is not expected to be that of a mature tree, yes it would be nice to know if they're progressing to expectation but are you sure TFC have been removing trees ?
All I'm saying is.... take a look at their website.. last time they checked (we know they checked) was 2008 and yields were running to prospectus....... and non TFS ORIA grown trees had heartwood volumes/yields within prospectus forecasts. I'll leave aside the fact that 8yo TFS trees were about the size of 14yo (private) non TFS ORIA trees and oil quality was basically up to spec,,,,,, because,,, I agree yield is all that really matters...... along with survival % of the crop. I'm actually more worried about dieback, storms, floods, fires etc etc than yields. Based on the publicly available info that is the least of a growers worry...... and thereby a shareholders..
