You do not have to be a chartist to do what you asked for.
If you are not aware of Google Finance I suggest you have a look.

You can just about do what you like with the graph. If you click on the graph and turn the mouse scroll wheel the graph will open out historically.
You may notice the tick boxes where you can select a stock to be charted with your first choice. Experiment, that is what it is all about - and it is free.
