I get a daily email update on US stocks from OPTO, must have signed up for it somehow once, there was an interesting piece of information in it which could be relevant to our Vietnamese operations:
"5. US Leans on Vietnam Over China Tech
The US is pressuring Vietnam to reduce its reliance on Chinese tech in exported goods, Reuters reported. Vietnam is working with local firms to boost domestic parts supply, though challenges remain. The move supports broader US efforts to restructure supply chains and decouple from China. Major tech players like Apple [AAPL], Samsung [SSNLF] and Meta [META] manufacture in Vietnam."
Maybe Samsung might like to look into investing in a cathode refinery in Vietnam sometime
