Not sure if this article has already been posted here but I think it has added more fodder for dot joining on top of the massive offtake deal with Ecopro.

Key paragraph:-

"The company signed a large-scale purchase agreement with Korea’s top cathode materials manufacturer Ecopro BM at SK Seorin Building in Seoul on Sept. 8. It will buy 10 trillion won worth of high-nickel, cobalt and manganese (NCM) cathode materials from 2024 to 2026. The company also agreed to cooperate with Ecopro BM and its holding company Ecopro in all directions in the field of cathode materials to strengthen its competitiveness."

Does this infer that SKI will also look to help secure supply of cathode material via equity participation in the supply chain....ie invest in the DBU???

Late the article it refers to ski selling non related assets to invest in the expansion of their core battery making business.

All eyes on Ecopro/SKI in mid October when Ecopro have said they will detail more information about how they will secure supply for SKI.

As SW has said there is lots going on behind the scenes and this has to be a high probability of what he is talking about.

As mentioned by others this explains the recent bullish price action and is likely to be just the start if either Ecopro or both Ecopro and SKI end up taking on the 49% of the DBU which is up for grabs.
