Just thinking about the BHP/Woodside deal this morning and what the broader implications are for the market.
We know that BHP is following the battery metals trend which was highlighted by the Tesla deal so you would think a decent proportion of the 20bn they have just raised could find its way into acquisitions of copper and nickel developers. Given that the EV battery demand is expected to really kick in sharply in only 2-3yrs increased exploration is unlikely to be enough and other minerals such as Lithium are abundantly available.
I'm guessing that BSX will be one of the domestic and global Ni sulphide deposits they will run their eyes over in due course(if not already).
The market pullback occurring this week maybe the right time to take onboard some of the quality opportunities in that space available on the ASX.
I'm sure most you know which ones I'm talking about but if not it might be time to get to work as this rising tide will float all boats.
