Looking at Alison’s background, she brings in two factors: corporate governance and snr leadership recruitment. As you note, she isn’t an operational or mining expert, she has been brought in because shareholders share the sentiment that the company needs advice on beefing up the board governance and recruiting of snr leaders.

Thinking through the timing of that move, and the announcements of using JVs to fund future investment (presaging the exit of the previous dir), it makes sense that the company are looking to improve in those areas to be most attractive to potential parters and obtain the best terms.

If we do see improvements in governance and greater experience brought in, you could envisage JV announcements to follow not long after. Without it, I think it may be a long(er) wait.
