Dear....... ,
As you have seen of recent times when the share market corrects based on a perception of a drop of commodity prices, the small cap end of the market suffers more than most.
We have suffered from expectation that mining in South Africa can & will happen instantly. We have always stated that when the feasibility study is complete we will apply for a mining licence. At present we are drilling to upgrade the known open cut part of the Indicated & Inferred Resources to Measured to enable a pit design to be completed. Drilling was delayed by the non appearance of a suitable drill rig for around 8 weeks. Drilling has been slower than anticipated with the usual breakdowns, holidays etc creating more delays. We expect that the drilling will be completed in the next couple of weeks with resource calculations and pit designs following on from that. The other leg of the mining licence application process, environmental is also underway.
We are suffering from the “duck syndrome” at present, furious activity underwater and apparent inactivity on the surface. I assure we have been working extremely hard to make up for the disastrous last half of 2005.
Regards
Brian Thomas
