I had the same experience yesterday after having read the letter from them and was on the phone straight away.
Similar response from them to my position that "they cannot unilaterally impose charges to my account for something I have not agreed to"
Garbled responses from them implying that the government has legislated for such changes.
Was getting nowhere fast talking to a broken record,lost interest,opted out on line (no need if you are 60 +)will move super as soon as I find one that is not planning same as BT.
