Back online after a 3 week horror run in hospital with one of the kids in ICU - something I would not wish on anyone.

Looks like the Shy1 and her chart got it right although I don't know how a chart could have predicted this fundamental debacle. It would appear that the royalties were a complete balls up and what Cook had to say typically compounded things.

The interesting thing is that Glaxo have always predicted volumes of units in advance, but only report $sales afterwards. The problem has been staring us in the face.

I would contend that Glaxo is meeting their volume and the problem here is that they are able to sell Relenza at low prices - as quoted by Wilson HTM "A possible explanation is
that the expected volumes were shipped but unit pricing was discounted materially."

    This is a BIG problem.

With Glaxo in the unique position to be able to negotiate their way out of recent antiviral over-stockpiling by supplying Relenza in place of antiviral returns, they must be reminded at how inept Cook and Co were to allow them to set any price they wanted for Relenza.

So instead of losing $100s of millions on lost antiviral sales, I believe Glaxo have retained that income and basically supplied Relenza for FREE (well okay - for a nominal heavily discounted figure). They may have missed out on potential profit from Relenza, but Relenza has allowed them to save their bacon and maximise their Antiviral sales. How could a licensing deal allow this to happen?

It is time for Cock-up and Co to go. There are too many Doctors at the helm of this organisation. We need a Malcolm Turnbull style CEO. We cannot wait for an AGM. Cock-up and Co must go now before they cock-up the LANI deal. The question is how? Do the shareholders have the power and ability to make this happen?

With the potential of a great LANI deal (and thankfully it is obviously not a done deal yet), we need a hotshot dealmaker at the reigns. A million dollar salary or a 1% bonus linked to Relenza sales should be enough to hook a suitable candidate.

We need the Biota Directors to act swiftly, but it requires the complete culture of this company to change from the top. Is it Jim Fox that can make this happen?
