what I’m saying is to treat crypto like any other currency or investment - don’t be sucked in by the glitter or hype. Do your research, weigh your risks - you seem switched on 4hr, but others can get swayed by the ramping, pumping and outright lies.
Ffs - I’ve been investing for dare I say the word ‘decades’ and I still get a surge of excitement from some bullshit marketing at times. I still make mistakes. It’s a calculated gamble. Enjoy it if you can afford it. If you cannot - you should not.
And for the pedant amongst us, i know blockchain is relatively unhackable, but that doesn’t mean the peripherals that distribute & store it are. Or that it cannot happen.
I got into btc in a small way about a decade ago (that word again little petey), thought it was crazy, sold some when the price was enough to cover my initial buy, used some more for other investments & still have some. It still makes me nervous, but losing it now would not devastate me. I look on it as i do some gold coins i invested in. Interesting, awkward, potential and a pain in the arse for my accountant.
