I look at what the government is doing in the US. I read movement of the US dollar and I think about what’s happened with countries like Argentina and how their currency is worthless.. what’s weird is trump is either stupid and doesn’t realise what he is doing or he is purposely trying to devalue the dollar.. so the average person will get hammered by that.. but those who invest in a global currency that’s not impacted by any one government but many are likely to hold onto their wealth especially if we look at the history of the growth of bitcoin.. never dropping below the price it was before an elected president. Does that mean it won’t happen? That it won’t go to zero? It could but that’s the risk you take.. could it get hacked and could exchanges collapse.. some have.. and some peoples regular bank accounts have been hacked.. the real question people should ask is what assurances can the exchange you buy give you? How secure is your wallet? And if your not comfortable is it a wise move to invest in a stock backed by cryptocurrency where you are not exposed to crypto exchanges but the rules regulation and reporting of a listed exchange like the asx… and even then it’s still not a ticket to certainty.. but you are banking on the expertise of the company to make more educated decision than yourself with a different level of security and that’s why holding a listed stock like this can be a good option.. especially if your fearful of crypto exchange..
