You're welcome Buckets. I really do think that both approaches are reasonable. You avoid a risk in getting out and protecting your capital but accept the risk that you might pay more to re-enter; I accept the risk that I might lose some capital in order to avoid the risk of missing out on the upturn.
Each to his own. Investors have to be aware of not just their acceptance of levels of risk but also the types of risk.
