To avoid BTR's share price fluctuations doing your head in, I find a simple strategy works well for me. I'm not smart enough to understand day to day why the vast majority of buyers or sellers are doing what they're doing. What I find easier to do, is to try to concentrate on what I do know, which is the information released to the market by the company, in the context of the world we live in. As an example: BTR information: we'll be selling zinc soon World context: zinc supplies tightening up Brett's assessment: that's good BTR information: there's a lot of copper in this core World context: copper could go up or down Brett assessment: If the PVS is good we'll still make a lot of money out of the copper.
Me being a smartarse aside, focusing on the fundamentals is a lot easier than wondering why the share price is doing what it's doing. Good news is good news irrespective of what the share price does. 175m at 5% copper is a lot of copper. I'm of the opinion BTR is still being treated like a speculative explorer, when it is in fact on the verge of being a card carrying, income producing miner. I think positive cash flow from Perkoa will be what it takes for BTR to get the respect, and re-rating, it deserves. In the meantime forget the price and focus on the fundamentals, and if it looks too cheap based on the fundamentals, well what would a smart investor do in those circumstances?
