Coles has around 800 stores across Australia, I imagine that this type of product would be targeted towards the larger stores or those with a demographic that suits this product. Hence why they have nominated 500 stores.
From memory of previous posts (sometime ago), comments were also made of heavy discounting of bubs products in stores. Lets hope this is changing and bubs is becoming a product of choice. I think though that if this was an issue common across all of their stores where the product is/was ranged then I'm not sure they (Coles) would still be chasing this product. Suppliers terms may be paying for space and possibly some waste and markdowns impacts but is that enough to cover heavy discounting of product, loss for stores? Would a major retailer continue to range a poor performing product? Lets hope that they get the inventory levels right across the different stores to drive profitable sales and minimise loss.
Just my thoughts. My advice is DYOR and best of luck.
