For those that are wondering if gold may be in a bubble-clearly important for KGL, I have taken three charts off the internet and drawn in some trend lines.
The charts of oil and uranium show what happens when a bubble is forming.
The price continually moves away from the existing trend such that a new steeper trend line needs to be drawn.
The process continues causing a parabolic rise which looks almost vertical over a 5 year chart, until the final blow-off, but by that time the price can easily double or triple in the final year.
By contrast the 5 year chart for gold shows a very orderly linear climb with no sign of a parabolic move typical of commodity price bubbles.
You will see a couple of steeper trend lines on the 10 year chart but nothing yet to suggest to me that we are anywhere near a top yet or that we may be in anything other than an early stage of a bubble.
