in order to spend big on marketing like a2 then bubs will make losses. it's for future growth. remember Blackmores brought out an infant formula, that didn't sell well. just because they produced in partnership with Bega doesn't mean chinese consumers will buy without heavy investment in marketing. I'd prefer bubs invest heavily on marketing and make losses and increase sales like a2 did when they started out. the alternative is Blackmores infant formula. Blackmores shareprice has fallen from when it used to be over $100 as they are not maintaining the growth. so many aussie exporters fail to sell to China through ecommerce because they don't want to spend on marketing on ecommerce sites and then complain they aren't selling. marketing is expensive in china but you are raising brand awareness to millions and hundreds of millions of people.
