Winston Chang from JD.com was interviewed.
BUBs was briefly mentioned, but nothing significant, just that it has made a deal to sell their products on China's biggest online retailer. (but we knew that already)
It was more of a promotion for JD.com and their goals to create business wealth and increase in sales for Aussie businesses and to help Aussie businesses get exposure to the huge Chinese market - which is a good thing.
But the main points were:
JD will set up shop in Victoria and NZ next month.
They have 500 warehouses
They are looking for other AUSSIE products to be sold through their website. So we need to keep an eye out on other Aussie products for future deals.
266million active users on JD.com
Chinese consumer wages have risen so they have cash to spend.
They are China's biggest online retail website.
Hope that helps a bit.....but I thought there would be more discussion on BUBs.
