The new Chinese regulation effects 1 January 2018, it's definitely a challenge for all infant formula players, meanwhile, is also a great opportunity for those are able to secure a CFDA approval via the CNCA plant.
Australian annual newborns are only 300k while China's annual newbornds are about 17.8m last year, expect to reach 20m as the one child policy has been abandoned.
The formula market is huge and is there, about 75-80% infant formulas will be vanished due to the new Chinese regulation change.
Surviving brands are likely to be thriving, imo.
