Common guys give the bloke a chance.

We all share the planet and its resources. The only issue I have with the CBD is they appear to have a narrowed agenda or narrowed view and fail to miss the bigger picture.

They state a number of times that we are in the middle of a "Global extinction crisis", in particular they used it in an Tiehm's buckwheat article. Thats great, it lets people know about a bigger issue, but placing that in an article also leads to false conclusions. IE that if Tiehm's is listed it will help stop the "Global extinction crisis" or if not stop, then at least assist in stemming the issue. The reality is this will not be the case.

The science and reality is, even if Tiehm's is listed as endangered it will have very little to no impact at all on this global extinction crisis. There is a far bigger issue at play here. Science has deemed that global warming is caused by humans, so if that IS scientifically proven beyond all reasonable doubt, what is causing this issue needs to be addressed and quickly ie - Humans. That to me is a far more just cause than saving 1 plant.

INR are attacking a bigger issue, humans cannot maintain the same old fashioned transport methods that we have used for Decades. We need to transition to more environmentally sustainable resources and energy sources that can be obtained without constant drilling ie fossil fuels. The human population progression isnt going to get any better, we have 7.2 Billion people on this planet, they all need a place to sleep, eat, work and play. The larger that gets the worse its going to get for the rest of this planet.

Until people have the guts to actually attack this issue this planet is doomed IMO. We cannot sustain human population growth on this planet as it stands the end result will be: 1) War 2) Global Weather shift that will wipe out millions if not billions of the earths population.
