Let's look at the scenario in reverse. If the share price was doing really well and the company was still quiet with no announcements at all, would people be kicking and screaming about a lack of announcements? Probably not.

I've noticed on these forums that shareholders are quick to attribute poor share price performance with lack of/no news flow. If there's nothing to announce, then there's nothing to announce.

Wouldn't want to end up like the mining companies that drip feed news:

Announcement: We've started digging a hole (shareholders go nuts and buy up)
Announcement: We are at xxx metres (shareholders start ramping about potential of hitting resource)
Announcement: Now we're at xxx metres (shareholders anticipate stellar drill results)
Announcement: We've pulled the rig out (shareholders get excited)
Announcement: We haven't found anything in this hole but the next one has exciting prospects (sell! sell!)

Yes i know the example is a bit exaggerated
