@Techmeister I understand the need to remain conservative, however I don't understand why some here feel the 1bn mc ($1.00/sh) is going to be so difficult for BUD to achieve. It's actually extremely attainable and I believe we will be there come Q4 or shortly after, unless the Ohm sales surpass my expectations (....
again... and it wouldn't surprise me at this stage as Dave and the team have a habit of doing that recently!).
Let's break down where we need to be to achieve that magical valuation:
To justify an MC of $1bn we would need to demonstrate, using a PE of 20, $50m in profits p.a.
We currently (
and there is no reason to suggest this will increase, as per the recent Webinar) expend $3m per quarter (-$12m p.a). Hence we need to be bringing in $62m p.a to attain our $50m of profits.
Now by Jan 2018, Parse will begin to generate US$10m-$15m.
Let's say we then need approximately (
likely less than) A$45m from the Ohm.
The BUD team has currently been installing Ohms for an approximate blended mix of US$750 per month per Ohm. However, the Digicel team will only install Ohms for minimum US$1500+ per month per Ohm.
*Assumption* if the Digicel deal is at worse a 50/50 split, then we can assume that too accrues US$750 per month for BUD.
At this rate of revenue, that equates to $12,000 p.a per Ohm in revenue (
pure profits).
Therefore to achieve that remaining $45m of revenue necessary to justify $1.00/sh, we need to have sold
approximately 3,750 Ohms.
@retiredyoung as per the Webinar,
the first 1,000 hardware units have already been locked in (
note: unclear how many of those are still trials though) and
the team will be ordering another batch of at least 1,000 shortly.
If we have already gone through over 1,000/3,750 Ohms, the product has been out for just two months and we already have two large distributors, suddenly that $1bn MC is much more achievable, eh?
