It would help if we could all define 'Socialism'. It seems to mean a different thing to each different person on any given day.
If we're defining 'Socialism' as taking away everyone's private property, you'll be hard pressed to find anyone in favour of it outside first-year university Marxists.
If we're defining 'Socialism' as raising taxes a few % points per GDP as many Rightists seem to do, you'll find a significant chunk of the country are actually 'Socialists'.
