The way I view budgets - 'there's no reliance like self reliance.'
I stopped dissecting budgets and what they do or don't do for me.
I will never rely on a handout to make me vote a particular way.
It's really about cutting government waste, cutting government bureaucratic positions, and letting people get on with life in the fairest possible way, short term incentives are a waste of taxpayer money just to exploit voter apathy to gain votes.
No government will ever act in the best long term interests of a country, their population whilst they have short electoral cycles it induces fear of losing.
Abolish state government, increase the geographic area of local government without political factional alliances i.e. run the local area government for the community not as en entry point for state government positions it breeds corruption and exploitation.
The Westminster system of government is a deterrent to implementing good long term policies i.e. 10 years plus!
