My small business is doing very nicely thank you, interest rates are low, bad small businesses are struggling in my opinion.
Kidding right? Our small business generally captures the strength of other small business, and there are many small businesses that have been around for a long time that have had to shut shop. We've had our worst year last financial year for a good 10 years. Many other small businesses outside the mining and building sector are experiencing exactly the same difficulties.
During the GFC credit availability became almost non-existent for many businesses. Doesn't matter how low interest rates are if you can't get the credit.
