I thought you may have given up on basic economics after your last effort!!!

Given that the OECD, the International Monetary Fund, the Reserve Bank and the Government all forecast positive economic growth for this year and next year why would the government even contemplate a budget deficit? If need be, interest rates can be reduced further to stimulate spending.

If the government had spent the $10.4b wisely there would not be any consideration even given to a deficit, well with a Liberal Govt any way.
