It amazes me people think this so called popularity contest equates to a good PM.
Kevin Rudd has walked into the Australia Bar and shouted $22b worth of free drinks and may even cost him more than $22b. Unlike the previous government who walked into the Australian Bar and had to ask for $96b to help bail out the country.
Give me $22b for nothing and if I am not the most popular bloke around I will go for a long walk of a short pier.
Wait till Rudd does go into deficit. He will either stay in deficit and do a Hawke/Keating or if he does try to bring budget back into balance watch his popularity fall.
