Sure I went and bought groceries and seeds etc well before any one i knew...that worked out ok though
Yes i generally put faith in science and medical experts and readjusted my thinking as things progressed taking into account the media like a story, people become hysterical easy, govt play on side of caution, drug companies are in business of selling drugs, covid death statistics etc etc
For me it was a moving feast
I dont have a crystal ball, i generally monitor things and change my opinion as things change depending on the info which i try to get from a wide source
