I was wondering if it was $100pw, pf, pm or pa! :-)

I did recognise the typo Bones.

It seems that the only way that very good teachers can achieve appropriate remuneration for their efforts, without causing mayhem in the public system, is to go to the private schools.

Very difficult to place rewards that are perceived as being fair on such intangibles as teaching, nurturing, nursing etc. in a public system.

Most teachers, I believe, are very proud of their profession and strive very hard to do a great job. One can only begin to imagine some of the ill feeling that will be generated by having certain teachers rewarded purely on performance, when there are other teachers (probably the majority?) who think they're as good, if not better, and receive no bonus. And it will happen inevitably. Can't be good for staff morale.

There'll be chalk, blackboard dusters and text books flying in the staff room at little lunch.
