He might have ideas of grand profits from rail operations but it is not uncommon for new owners of transport systems to close down marginal routes and in the case of rail ,lift the tracks which is of course the end,
PN have done/are doing exactly this in Tasmania and Victoria and in the case of Tasmania they have wrecked a state rail system over the last few years.
By far the preferred way to involve these operators is to rent out the system for them to use but not destroy.

Let's hope Buffet doesn't do the same in the U.S.
