Buffett's methodology is clear. He is not a trader and not interested in market timing. He buys when he sees value, and if it goes down more he keeps buying, as the value is even better. He stops buying when the stock rises above his value threshold.
He did this with coca cola I believe. The difference between WB and most investors is that he has a much better grasp of fundamental valuation.
