I'm really enjoying this Muddy Waters research report into the shennanigans going on in Burford Capital (Omni's competitor). Aggressive (and dodgy) accounting reminiscent of Enron - marking up the value of ongoing cases based on an unrealistic success rate, and recognizing the profit early. Makes me happy that OBL takes a very conservative approach to its accounting.
